With a dynamic mix of contemporary and emerging labels against a backdrop of cutting-edge art, Scoop International is back for the 8th edition on 13th – 15th July 2014. Bringing together more than 400+ contemporary labels from the UK and worldwide, Scoop showcases directional collections in apparel, footwear, lifestyle and accessories across two of London’s most iconic art galleries; the Saatchi Gallery and Phillips in the heart of London. Celebrated as one of Europe’s most exciting shows, Scoop’s ethos and aesthetic of where fashion meets art makes Scoop International a stand out show, where each label is carefully hand-picked and curated around art.
Founded by fashion industry expert Karen Radley, Scoop’s first seasons have been an amazing success and with its 8th edition this summer showcasing spring/summer 2015 collections, expect to see an array of established labels as well as innovative collections from new designers.
One of the qualities that sets Scoop apart from other trade fairs, aside from its innate sophistication, is that it truly is international. This season Scoop is delighted to welcome a host of new labels into its fold. For full listings of all designers and registration to Scoop International please visit Scoop International Fashion Show
Also reflecting the truly worldwide flavour that Scoop is synonymous with is RexRomae a London based Gallery that represents the most innovative urban artists from around the world. RexRomae is considered to be a pioneering tastemaker by major art collectors and the general public alike. Established in 2013, RexRomae’s artists personify the dynamic and evolving nature of street art through an eclectic mix of techniques and styles from their respective cultures. As ambitious as it is breathtaking – this is exhibition is a must-see!
RexRomae exhibition includes the following artists:
Argentina: Like many urban artists, Jaz (Franco Fasoli) began his creative career as a graffiti writer, and is recognized as one of the first major writers to begin working in the streets of Buenos Aires in the mid1990’s.
Australia: Fintan Magee is a Lismore-born, Brisbane-based artist who works as an artist, illustrator, designer and muralist.
Brazil: Art, design and rock ’n’ roll. It might sound as a cliché but this is the simplest, most honest and coherent way of trying to explain this power collective of illustrators. Internationally famed for their large-scale public artworks, typified by highly-expressive line work and expansive color palettes, Bicicleta Sem Freio (Bicycle without break), juxtapose surreal, often-provocative temptresses, with tentacled marine life, phantoms, kaleidoscopic flesh work, classic rock n’ roll iconography, chopped motorcycles, and more flesh.
Italy: Italian artist 2501′s works are visually stunning, diving head first into the essence of line art through his use of monochromatic color schemes that emphasize his technique.
Italy: Born in Foggia, Agostino Iacurci lives and works between Rome and Nuremburg. He creates bright multi-layered images, used either for drawings and etchings or for big murals, meshing daily life with synthetic shapes and bright colors.
New Zealand: ASKEW ONE is recognized worldwide for his unique approach to graffiti art and remains at the forefront for over 20 years of the international art scene through constantly exploring new and exciting styles in a world of imitators.
Norway: Martin Whatson is a Norwegian born and based stencil artist. Whatson has a continuous urge to search for beauty in what is commonly dismissed as ugly, out of style or simply left behind.
Puerto Rico: Artist and muralist Alexis Diaz crafts exceptionally detailed surreal images.
Puerto Rico: Ana Maria is an emerging based in Puerto Rico. Her work displays a penchant for the macabre and surrealist elements of the human condition.
Spain: Borondo is an emerging urban artist heralded for his classical painting techniques.
Spain: VinZ is an urban artist based in Valencia, Spain. The Feel Free Project, born in 2011, is a direct reflection of a society in crisis.
United States: Zio Ziegler, San Francisco based artist and a new figure of Californian street art.! His paintings are often more colorful than his monochromatic murals that are scattered throughout the entire San Francisco Bay area, from Mission District to Facebook general headquarters.
Branded Scoop taxis and courtesy cars are at hand to seamlessly transport buyers and visitors between each venue.
